To honor in memory of Mrs Edna Barnes the Mississippi Emergency Medical Technicians Association makes available a scholarship in the amount of $750.00 to an individual wanting to enter into the EMS field. Those eligible for the scholarship must meet the requirements for admission in a Basic EMT Class. The applicant must be a minimum High School Graduate / GED and first time Basic EMT Enrollment. Failure to attend the EMT course by the scholarship recipient shall cause the scholarship review committee to revoke the scholarship. A completed Edna Barnes Memorial Scholarship application form and requested material must be postmarked on or before May 31st of each year and mailed to the address listed on the form.
